We are very pleased to announce that Perry Bedden and Kimi Wong O'Brien will be joining us as our special guests.

Perry & Kimi have been a part of Rocky Horror history going back to the very early days when the play first opened in London.

Perry was a Transylvanian in TRHPS. He also played Riff-Raff in several worldwide productions of The Rocky Horror Show He was also in Shock Treatment and the original London cast of Jesus Christ Superstar. Perry was also one half of the group "Truth & Beauty."

Kimi played a Transylvanian in TRHPS. She has a place in Rocky's musical legacy as being the first person to record the song "Eddie's Teddy." She was one half of the recording duo Kimi & Ritz (with Richard O'Brien.)

THE CELLULOID JAM will sadly be Perry & Kimi's last Rocky Horror convention appearance.

All scheduled guest appearances are subject to change.

Will these films feature floorshows/fan performances?
Yes, all three movies will feature a live cast performance accompanying each film.

How do I apply to perform in one (or any) of the shows?
We are no longer taking casting applications/requests for the three films. The casting request deadline was April 1, 2009. Casting was open to ALL convention attendees who registered on or before April 1.

For more information on casting, please visit the convention casting page.

Where are the movies being shown?
The entire convention, including the films, will be held at the hotel: The Drawbridge Inn.

Why aren't you showing the movies at a theatre?
While we certainly enjoy and encourage Rocky Horror being put on in a "proper" cinema or performance venue at conventions, we also believe that convenience is a very important factor in enjoying a convention. It's quite frustrating to have to travel to a different venue to see or perform in the show (especially when you're either in costume or carrying a load of costumes.)

Since the past few conventions have shown Rocky Horror in a theatre, we're gonna break that tradition and do everything in one place so that if you want to leave the show, your room will be within walking distance. Those who want to drink will not have to worry about driving. No one will have to worry about cab fare or late-night public transportation. Most of us get to see Rocky Horror in a theatre all year long anyway and we feel that the most passionate fans will enjoy doing the show wherever they can. While some may not agree with showing the films in the hotel, we truly believe that everyone will enjoy the films being shown in our convention room just as much as you would in a "real" theatre.

Where exactly is the hotel?

When can I reserve my room at the hotel?
The hotel has already begun taking reservations.

You can call The Drawbridge Inn to reserve your room at: 800-354-9793 and be sure to mention that you are with "THE CELLULOID JAM" when making your reservation so you can get our convention rate.

CLICK HERE for more information on making reservations.

Is there an age requirement to attend the convention?
All ages are welcome to attend the convention, but be reminded that since Rocky Horror is an R-rated film, some of the convention events may contain content and language that some would consider inappropriate for younger children.

Although the convention does not have any age restrictions, you must be 21 years of age to register/book a room at The Drawbridge Inn. You must also have a valid credit card to make your reservation. The Drawbridge Inn makes NO exceptions to this rule.

Will there be pre-shows? Costume contests? Raffle? Auction?
There will hopefully be cast pre-show performances depending on how many attending casts request to perform them. We will also have pre-show entertainment from comedian Ray Price and other surprises.

We will not be doing a traditional costume contest, but we will have a costume "Runway/Fashion Show" that is still un-named. We will be letting everyone who wants to show off their costume do so in a fashion-show type format. The runway show is open to all who attend and the only guideline is that costumes must only be from any of the three films we are showing. Costumes being shown in the runway show do NOT have to be screen-accurate, you can be as original and unique as you like. We encourage people to be creative and show us something no one has seen before. We will be giving out a few prizes during the runway show, but this event is not about competition, it's about having fun and everyone getting to show off their costume and stand in the spotlight for a few moments.

We will also be having a raffle. Raffle tickets will be available at the TCJ registration/merchandise table.

We will be having a raffle with rare merchandise. When we get closer to the con we hope to print a list of the merchandise we are auctioning so collectors will know how much money to bring.

There will also be additional prizes and giveaways that will be free of charge to some lucky convention attendees.

Is this a "The Denton Affair" or "Simply His Servants" cast run convention?
No. This convention is being produced, planned and thrown by Cosmo and Kev.

We are indeed looking forward to most (if not all) of TDA & SHS attending the convention & helping out, but this is not a convention being put on by a Rocky Horror cast or theatre.

I have an idea for the convention.

  • I'd like to help out.
  • I've always wished a convention would do something in particular....

This convention is being put on by a couple of fans who have enjoyed going to conventions over the past 15 years. We've decided it's time to put on a convention ourselves and we want to take all the things we love about Rocky Horror conventions and put them all into one weekend. Since this convention is being done by a couple of fans for ALL the fans, if you have any suggestions, comments or feedback we'd love to hear from you. We hope to see you all there!
A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
